Youth Opportunities Fund Support Success

Congratulations go to Matt, Giles, Chris S, Tom and James who recently applied for a grant from the East Sussex County Council Youth Opportunity Fund. The grant, compiled solely by the young members of the club, will provide for two 3 day table tennis camps catering for the new player, intermediate player as well as the advance player. Those attending these camps will also have the opportunity to join the group for an outing to the local bowling centre at Glyn Gap.

The lads also applied for funding to purchase a table tennis robot which will be used during the table tennis days and will be made available at Club and local schools after the summer project has been completed.

These opportunities are open to everyone in the community aged between 8 and 18 years of age, subject to restrictions on numbers, as well as club members. The best part of the project is that attendance at the sessions is FREE OF ANY CHARGE. Details of the two camps will be available shortly and booking can be made either via a booking form or online. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
